6 Month Check Up

Lola had her 6 month check up yesterday. Her report from the doctor said "Excellent" so we must be doing something right.

Stats
Height/Length: 26 3/4 inches
Weight: 15 lb 12oz
Head: 16 7/8 inches

Lola is holding strong in the 80th percentile in height where she has been since birth. She is 43th in weight which is up from the 32nd percentile at her 4 month checkup but still down from the whopping 98th at birth. Her head has gone from the 40s to the 60s, so she is starting to take after the kids in her class.

She is hitting all of her milestones and even some for 7 and 8 month olds. Apparently sitting on your own is a 7 month milestone and getting on all 4s and going backwards is a 8th month one. The doctor recommended baby proofing soon. Looks like Scott and I have some work cut out for us.

Unfortunately, Lola does have another ear infection and her doctor recommended that we go see and ENT. It looks like Lola is going to have tubes in her future.

Lola got 3 shots and was a champ. We have such a strong, brave little girl.

Rubber ducky your the one...

We used Lola's new bathtub today and she loved it. It is an infatable rubber duck tub and I think I like it more then she does.

We are not ready for this....

Today Lola started getting up on all fours. She did it twice at school, three times at the doctor and several times at home. Crawling is just around the corner.

Lola's Clothes

Lola is very blessed. One of my best friends has 2 daughters and have given us all of the clothes that they have outgrown. And my mom is a very talented seamstress and is very generous. And Scott's mom is also very generous. And her Aunt is very generous. And she has a mom who likes to shop. This all leads to a little girl with a lot of clothes :) Our washing machine has been running all weekend to get ready for spring.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail....

...hopping down the bunny trail.

Lola had her first experience with the Easter Bunny this weekend. She did not seem that impressed. Just wait until she sees what he brings her this Easter - then she will understand the magic of the Easter Bunny.

Shelly Lake

Scott and I took Lola on her first "hike" to Shelly Lake. We are lucky enough to live within walking distance of the lake so we put Lola in the Baby Bourne and enjoyed the first warm day of 2010. Lola did great and seemed to enjoy the fresh air.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

We like holiday PJs in our house. And if you get sick, you may end up celebrating multiple holidays at one time.
